I never planned to become a sales professional! Back in my university days, I had my heart set on a career in banking. But all that changed when I took on my first job as an insurance agent. It was supposed to be a summer gig, just three months of work, but it completely transformed me...I discovered a real passion for sales and connecting with customers during that short stint. It was unexpected, but it felt right.I came to realize that I wanted to chart my career in this direction. Why I have a deep passion for sales? There's a multitude of reasons, and I'd like to share a few of them with you.First,, it's all about helping people. Imagine being the hero who swoops in with solutions to their problems. That's the buzz I get every single day!!Second, it's a never-ending adventure. The sales world keeps me on my toes. I'm learning, growing, and discovering new things all the time. It's like a thrilling rollercoaster ride! And lastly, it's all about making friends. Sales isn't just about business; it's about connecting with folks, understanding what they need, and becoming their trusted buddy on their journey. So, why am I head over heels for sales? Because it's the most exciting, rewarding gig out there! Stay tuned for more stories from my sales journey. 🚀I would love to hear your viewpoints on this topic. 😊

Why I'm Totally Into My Job 🤷🏼♀️My job isn't just about the usual perks or praise (let's face it, educating is often a thankless job)– it's about something much cooler. When I first jumped into the sales game a few years back, I was pretty clueless. No outbound sales experience, and SAAS might as well have been a foreign language. But hey, I dove in headfirst, and guess what? Ended up kicking some serious butt. It was like discovering a whole new side of myself, one I never knew existed. And you know what's even crazier? Now, I'm not just a sales manager; I'm at the forefront of developing new sales reps as a Sales Educator.Yeah, me! Sales isn't just a gig; it's like a crash course in life skills you didn't even know you needed. And as someone who gets to teach and shape the next wave of sales superstars, let me tell you, it's a thrill like no other. 🚀It's not just about pumping them full of sales knowledge; it's about arming them with tools that'll serve them in every aspect of their lives, whether it's sales or something completely different. Creating confidence that's unshakable. It's about sparking that fire within them and watching them crush their goals, no matter what they are.So, yeah, that's why I'm all about my job. I've seen firsthand how sales can change lives – mine included – and now I get to be a part of that journey for others. It's not about creating successful sales reps; it's about creating successful PEOPLE. 🤝

It was my first 7 figure opportunity. And I was pumped. Untill, I had to mark it closed lost. I had a great relationship with the buyer. Which blinded me. And I skipped crucial steps in discovery. I thought I had it in the bag. But there was certain specs they neeeed. I glossed over it and didn’t realize how important is was and the reason why. It was the best and worst experience at the same time. It sucked.I was disappointed when I found out. And realized why I lost. But it was the best learning lesson in my sales career. When you make a mistake like this that stings you don’t make it again. Loosing this deal made me a better sales person. #salestips #salestransfromation

Peace and Blessings People! I am in the market for a Sales/Business Development Representative role. I know it's very competitive and I need to stand out. How? I'm not entirely sure yet, but I'm working on it, so I'll figure it out soon. I've really been digging the info thatAndrea Loganand Chenae Erkerd, J.D., RACRhave been putting out. Thank you Queens!I'm not complaining at all. I am just really anxious! I can't fricking wait to make those cold calls everyone is afraid of. I rode public transportation and I worked at Comerica Park as a Program Vendor. So, I am extremely comfortable talking to strangers, to say the least. I'm gonna keep that pipeline jam packed, mark my words.I can't wait to face the challenges that await. I'm gonna knock 'em down on the way to becoming AE in my first year! Sometime next year I'm gonna reshare this post with updates of my success. I'm putting in the work and I know I'm gonna land a role somewhere great. I just can't wait to find out where that somewhere is! STAY POSITIVE COMRADES!#watch#goals#techsales#coursecareers#titnb#positivity#growthmindset

Ever noticed the energy in the room? It's like a secret weapon in sales. Many times, after signing on a new client or when working with candidates, I hear: "You totally caught our attention with your passion for what we're doing." "I'm really excited about this opportunity." "It's like you were as excited about our mission as we are." "You've got that spark we were looking for.'" Enthusiasm can be electric, right? But here's the catch. It's got to be the real deal. You can't fake it. And of course, excitement or not, you've got to deliver the goods. So next time you walk into an interview or a new biz meeting, bring the excitement. If you are not naturally excited, you should probably be doing something else.

It is wrong to tell salespeople that they can have a lifelong career in salesInstead they should be saying you need to have a career with sales experience... Let me explain the difference 👇A career in sales means that the stress is never going to end - no matter how good you are, you only as good as your last quarter A career in sales means that even if you move into management - you will always earn less than your top performer A career in sales means that you won't evsr come to a full understanding of what it means to:✅ Own your own business ✅ Understand the fundamentals of marketing & scaling demand ✅ Design and build a great product Although you can succeed in sales and earn fantastic amounts of money - perhaps it's worth broadening your horizons and thinking about what more you can achieve than just meeting quotaTime in sales is beneficial to everyone's career - but don't let it be the only thing you achieve Think I'm wrong? I'd love to hear your opinion 🗣️

Joining an early-stage company as a sales rep can transform your career... If I did it all over again, here's what I'd look for: 1) $1.5M - $4M in ARR currently 2) Only 1-3 reps in seat currently 3) Growing 50%+ year over year - not growing faster because they want to grow thoughtfully and burn very little 4) Just now starting to add headcount 5) Ideally a really low monthly burn or profitable 6) Ideally, a second-time founder (doesn't always have to be) 7) They've niched down hard and are really clear on the segment, industry and persona they are selling to Top talent can go into these companies and make a lot of money
