This Homemade Creamed Corn recipe is the perfect simple and delicious side dish recipe. It can be thrown together quickly, and makes the perfect side dish.
We never had creamed corn growing up, so I always assumed it didn’t taste good.
After I got married, my husband introduced me to creamed corn and I have never turned back. Forget the canned version. This recipe is so easy to make and tastes a million times better.
It was so easy to make. I was so shocked I had never eaten it before. We now have it all the time, and it is definitely our favorite side dish, go to.
It is so simple, and is perfect for those busy nights, where you have no time to make a main dish AND a side dish.
It’s quick, simple, full of flavor, and tastes absolutely amazing. If you have never tried cream corn, take it from me, that it is absolutely delicious. I was always afraid to try it, but wow, it is good stuff.
can i prepare this ahead of time?
This dish could most definitely be made ahead of time. It is best when it is served fresh, but you could make it the night before or the morning of, and keep it in an airtight container in the fridge, until ready to serve.
We recommend not making it more than 24 hours in advance, for the best results.
Again, it’s best served fresh, and may reheat a little differently. It may be a little more liquidy, but it should be just fine, and still taste amazing.
Could i freeze this and reheat it later?
You could most definitely freeze this dish, and reheat it later. We recommend freezing it in an airtight container.
You will want it to be completely cool before putting it in the fridge, because if it is hot, that moisture and heat will freeze and thaw, making it a little more liquidy.
We recommend not freezing it for more than two weeks.
This recipe is definitely best served fresh, but it would still be delicious frozen, thawed, and reheated.

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Silly question, when I make this creamed corn in the morning and store it in a Tupperware 'til lunch, would it still be ok? And any idea if I could make this the night before, keep it in the fridge and just bring it for lunch the following day?
