Do you love the combination of chocolate, caramel, and pecans in traditional Turtle candies? If so, you are going to love this Patriotic Rolo Pretzel Turtles Recipe. The sweet and salty combination blended with the chewy and crunchy sensation make for a delicious treat on the 4th of July!

This dessert is a quick and easy no-bake treat that is sure to be a hit with friends and family! These Rolo pretzel turtles are topped with red, white, and blue candy melts and then topped with patriotic sprinkles.

This treat can be made gluten-free by simply using gluten-free pretzel twists. It can also be made nut-free, by using M&Ms in place of the pecan halves.

You can make them a day or two ahead of your party, just store them in a sealed container at room temperature. You don’t want to store them in the refrigerator because it can make your pretzels soggy.

These quick and easy Patriotic Rolo Pretzel Turtles make a fun treat for Memorial Day and 4th of July parties. You can find a video tutorial and printable recipe below.

Ingredients:

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place pretzels in a single layer on a baking sheet. On top of each pretzel, place a Rolo candy.

3. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until candies are soft but not melted. Remove from the oven.

4. Immediately press one pecan half down on top of each Rolo candy, pressing the candy through the pretzel. Allow pretzel turtles to cool completely on the baking sheet.

5. Melt candy coating in individual bowls according to package directions. Drizzle one color of candy coating over pretzel turtles. Repeat with the other 2 colors. Immediately add the patriotic sprinkles.

6. Allow the melted chocolate to harden before storing. To speed the setting process, place the Rolo Turtle Pretzels in the refrigerator for 10 – 15 minutes. Remove and serve or store in an airtight container at room temperature until you are ready to serve them.

Nut-Free Rolo Pretzel Turtles Variation

If you have a family member that doesn’t like nuts or can’t eat pecans, you can make nut-free Rolo Pretzel Turtles by using red and blue M&Ms in place of the pecan half.

Alter step 4 in the directions: Immediately press a red or blue M&M on top of each Rolo candy, pressing the candy through the pretzel. Allow pretzel turtles to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Then continue with step 5 and drizzle the melted candy-coat over the M&M Rolo Pretzels.
